First published in 1902, "The Little White Bird" is a fantasy novel by James Matthew Barrie, a series of short episodes with tones ranging from fantasy and whimsy to social comedy with dark aggressive undertones. The novel accounts the narrator's day to day activities in London of its day, and fanciful tales set in Kensington Gardens and elsewhere.
"The Little White Bird" also tells the story of the first sighting of Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, and what he’s doing there. The book introduces readers to the general myths surrounding Peter Pan.
