L. M. MONTGOMERY [1874-1942] was a Canadian author. She grew up with her grandparents in Cavendish and began writing at an early age. In 1908, her debut novel, Anne of Green Gables, was published, marking the first installment in what would become one of the most beloved children’s and young adult book series ever. The book has been translated into around 36 languages and sold over 50 million copies.
