Germany in the early 1950s. You can still see traces of the war, but that doesn't stop the children from playing football. Günter Netzer is little, but every now and then he is allowed to join in. His agility and powerful shots are impressive. One day, just before an important match, Günter's aunt decides that he needs a new haircut. Afterwards Günter can hardly recognize himself and neither can the others. Everyone laughs. Then Günter kicks the ball into the goal and proves that he is still the same.
