Han beretter om sorger og glæder med kreaturer og husdyr, bil og børn og ikke mindst sin forfattergerning.<br><br>Den tyske forfatter Hans Fallada (egentlig Rudolf Wilhelm Friedrich Ditzen – 1893-1947) skrev en række politisk-sociale romaner, der kredser om arbejderliv og småborgerlighed i 1930‘ernes storbymiljø. Navnet Hans Fallada er et forfatterpseudonym dannet af to karakterer fra brødrene Grimms eventyr. Hans gennembrud kom med romanen "Lille mand, hvad nu?" fra 1932. Hans bøger er oversat til flere sprog.
