Eino Leinon "Kootut teokset I" sisältää rakastetun runoilijan ensimmäiset teokset yksissä kansissa. Mukana ovat runokokoelmat "Maaliskuun lauluja", "Tarina suuresta tammesta", "Yökehrääjä", "Sata ja yksi laulua" sekä "Ajan aalloilta". "Maaliskuun lauluja" on Leinon esikoisteos vuodelta 1896. Seuraavassa teoksessaan "Tarina suuresta tammesta" Leino käytti kalevalaista runomittaa modernimpien runomittojen kanssa. Se julkaistiin jo samana vuonna kuin esikoisteos. Eino Leino (1878–1926) oli suomalainen kirjailija, runoilija ja lehtimies. Hän oli yksi merkittävimpiä suomalaisia 1800- ja 1900-luvun vaihteen kirjailijoita. Hänen runoillaan on edelleen vankka suosio. Vuosien saatossa moni säveltäjä on inspiroitunut Leinon runoista: runoja on säveltänyt musiikiksi niin Erkki Melartin, Jean Sibelius kuin Kaj Chydenius. rnrnLeinolle on pystytetty patsas Esplanadin puistoon Helsinkiin.
