Eino Leinonen "Kootut teokset II" sisältää neljä rakastetun runoilijan kokoelmaa. Mukana ovat "Hiihtäjän virsiä", "Pyhä Kevät", "Kangastuksia" ja "Talviyö". "Hiihtäjän virsiä" julkaistiin alun perin vuonna 1900. Runot syntyivät Leinon Berliinin matkalla vuonna 1898. Teos sisältää muun muassa runon "Laulu onnesta", jonka ensimmäiset sanat ovat vakiinnuttaneet asemansa sanontana: "Kell’ onni on, se onnen kätkeköön" "Pyhä Kevät" julkaistiin vuonna 1901, "Kangastuksia" vuonna 1902 ja "Talviyö" vuonna 1905. Eino Leino (1878–1926) oli suomalainen kirjailija, runoilija ja lehtimies. Hän oli yksi merkittävimpiä suomalaisia 1800- ja 1900-luvun vaihteen kirjailijoita. Hänen runoillaan on edelleen vankka suosio. Vuosien saatossa moni säveltäjä on inspiroitunut Leinon runoista: runoja on säveltänyt musiikiksi niin Erkki Melartin, Jean Sibelius kuin Kaj Chydenius. rnrnLeinolle on pystytetty patsas Esplanadin puistoon Helsinkiin.
