THE SUN ALSO RISES: Ernest Hemingway

Ernest Hemingway, (1899 – 1961) was an American novelist and short-story writer, awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1954. He was noted both for the intense masculinity of his writings and for his adventurous and widely publicized life.

The Sun Also Rises, published in 1926, was his first novel and portrays American and British expatriates who travel from Paris to the Festival of San Fermín in Pamplona to watch the running of the bulls and the bullfights. Hemingway was a very young writer when wrote this novel, however,
