The Tale of Triona is a romance novel of Olivia Gale, an orphan girl who marries a handsome and brilliant writer and is deliriously happy until an old secret comes to light.

Olivia moves to London and enjoys life in London society before she meets Triona again. Triona writes a book about his rather mysterious past experiences which is an instant bestseller. The book follows their relationship and the strange and totally unexpected path it takes.
The Tale of Triona was the basis for the 1924 Harold M. Shaw film A Fool's Awakening with Mary Alden, Lionel Belmore, and Enid Bennett.
