Han har översatt bland andra Nabokov och Hölderlin till svenska, han har skrivit kritik i bland annat Expressen och medverkat med essäer i en rad tidskrifter. Aris Fioretos, f. 1960 i Göteborg, har erhållit pris och utmärkelser både i Sverige och utomlands, senast Lydia och Herman Erikssons donationsstipendium av Svenska Akademien 2003. Senast utgav han romanen Sanningen om Sascha Knisch (2002).
