Fra 2. september 2008 til 25. januar 2009 havde Louisiana en stor udstilling med værker af Per Kirkeby i anledning af hans 70-års-fødselsdag den 1. september. I anledning af udstillingen blev hele indholdet af Billedforklaringer – første gang udgivet i 1968 – udstillet og genudsendt.
