Over de riten rond de grote, transfomerende gebeurtenissen in een mensenleven.<br><br>‘Gesprekken op maandag’ van Vonne van der Meer is een bundeling van de gesprekken tussen de auteur en pastoor Nico de Gooijer. In 2008 ging Vonne van der Meer te rade bij hem met de vraag of hij iets kon vertellen over de laatste sacramenten. Met een fietstas vol doosjes, flesjes, watjes en zalfjes deed De Gooijer aan tafel voor wat er tijdens de toediening van dit sacrament gebeurt en legde haar de oorsprong en betekenis ervan uit. Algauw werd het Van der Meer duidelijk dat zij deze heldere en levendige verteller nog veel meer te vragen had. Zeven maandagen spraken ze over zijn ervaringen als priester, één die alle veranderingen in de kerk in de jaren zestig, zeventig had meegemaakt, met als uitgangspunt: de zeven sacramenten die de katholieke kerk kent.
