Harri Nykänen (1953–2023) oli kirjailija, Helsingin Sanomien rikostoimittaja ja kustantaja. Esikoisteoksensa Kuusi katkeraa miljoonaa (1986) jälkeen Nykänen kirjoitti yli kolmekymmentä teosta, lähinnä dekkareita, mutta myös muutaman rikosaiheisen tietokirjan. Lisäksi hän kirjoitti tv-sarjoja, kuunnelmia ja yhden näytelmän. Nykäsen suosittuihin Raid-romaaneihin perustuva samanniminen 12-osainen tv-sarja on edelleen kaikkien aikojen katsotuin suomalainen näytelmäsarja. Siitä on tehty myös erillinen valkokangaselokuva. Nykänen jäi vapaaksi kirjailijaksi vuonna 2001. Hänet on palkittu vuosina 1990 ja 2001 parhaasta jännitysromaanista Suomen dekkariseuran Vuoden johtolanka -palkinnolla. Hän on ollut ehdolla myös Pohjoismaisen dekkaripalkinnon Lasiavaimen saajaksi. Kirjailijantyönsä ohessa Nykänen toimi myös kustantajana rikoskirjallisuuteen ja dekkareihin erikoistuneessa CrimeTime-kustantamossa, jonka perustajajäseniin hän kuului.
