The Adventures of Officer Jack
A Treasury of Thirteen Officer Jack Stories
Description of book
Officer Jack is in Hamilton Township airport when a woman screams, “Help Me! My baby’s not breathing! Somebody, help me!” His partner, Officer Kate, knows how to help, but a scanner system blocks her path to the frantic mother. Can she get there in time to save the baby?
Officer Jack and Officer Kate swore an oath to protect and serve the citizens of Hamilton Township. Ride along in The Adventures of Officer Jack as they fulfill that oath by rescuing a woman from a sinking car, getting a baby to breathe, and retrieving a puppy from a dog-napper. Their commitment to their community extends to finding a lost lady, thwarting a robber, and running down and arresting home-invading criminals. Like all first responders, when thanked for their service, they thank God they could help and say, “Glad to do it!”
The Adventures of Officer Jack, written for third grade and above, is a chapter book in the “Glad to Do It!” series of fire, police, and EMT children’s books. Each chapter is based upon an actual response performed by law enforcement professionals. The officers and their departments are recognized in each chapter.
The “Glad to Do It!” collection thanks and honors the commitment, courage, and bravery of millions of police officers, firefighters, and EMTs who go to work every day fully prepared to place themselves between their neighbors and danger.
