Elin Wägner [1882–1949] var en svensk författare, journalist och feminist. Hon var ledamot av Svenska Akademien från 1944 och en av kvinno- och fredsrörelsens portalfigurer. Norrtullsligan är hennes debutroman från år 1908. Den handlar om de fyra lågavlönade kvinnliga kontoristerna Elisabeth (Pegg), Magnhild (Baby), Emmy och Eva som tillsammans delar två hyrda rum på Norrtullsgatan i Vasastan, Stockholm. Som lågavlönade kvinnor måste de kämpa för att kunna försörja sig, dels hantera sexuella trakasserier på arbetsplatsen, dels hantera att manliga arbetskamrater inte accepterar att kvinnor tar arbete på kontor. För att få bättre lön försöker några av kontoristerna genomföra en strejk.
