Fra hendes yderligere rejser til andre lande som Indonesien, Thailand, Burma og Indien samlede hun genstande til et museum på den præstegård hun boede på i Ronæs. Desuden skrev hun en række bøger om sine rejser, hvor hun med en sjælden indsigt beskrev en hidtil ukendt verden for danskerne.
