Koda
Opis książki
Koda Perry is a self-made millionaire who can't seem to form his own identity as anything other than a spoiled rich kid. Determined to build his own legacy, he branched out on his own, built a company from the ground up, and became a millionaire before the age of thirty—but for his billionaire father, that's not good enough. In his mother's eyes, Koda's life will never be complete until he gets married and has kids. All Koda wants to do is live his life the way he sees fit on his own terms. One of his proudest accomplishments is the Millionaire Boys Club, a group of millionaires who look just like him: Black.
Koda's motto is work smart not hard, and he finds a reason to celebrate often. But when an unfortunate accident sits him down and humbles him a bit, rather than making him better, Koda gets bitter. His entitlement starts to shine through. Koda's antics might intimidate a soft person, but life has hardened August Logan to the point of no return. As long as Koda pays her for her services, she couldn't care less about his attitude. Numb to the BS, she does her job and collects her bag.
Until Koda starts to rub off on her. Some days she finds herself enthralled—others, she finds herself triggered. Something really good or really bad could come from the two of them being forced into close proximity.
