Truthfulness in Relation to Personal Strength

Lack of truthfulness---a proclivity to lie and rationalize---destroys unity of purpose and therefore destroys purposiveness itself. Therefore, truthfulness is a necessary precondition for unity of purpose and therefore for purposiveness.
