Hän toimii professorina Turun akatemiassa, kunnes hänet valitaan Turun piispaksi. Katkera kollega ja kilpailija Enevaldus Svenonius alkaa syyttää Terserusta harhaoppiseksi kalvinistiksi, ja hänet painostetaan eroamaan piispanvirasta. Terserus joutuu tyytymään kirkkoherran pestiin Tukholmassa. Onneksi tukena on koko ajan ymmärtävä Maria-vaimo. Tuure Vierros (1927–2012) oli suomalainen historian ja yhteiskuntaopin opettaja ja kirjailija. Hän oli kotoisin Kankaanpäästä ja teki pitkän uran opettajana eri paikkakunnilla. Vierros julkaisi lukuisia historiallisia romaaneja ja oppikirjoja ja myös näytelmiä ja esseitä.
