Op een dag ontmoet hij op een vervallen trimbaan vlak bij zijn huis Rogier. De twee worden vrienden en besluiten de oude trimbaan op te knappen. Hoewel ze er veel werk in steken, schiet het maar langzaam op: ze praten meer dan dat ze werken. Nadat Filip op een keer zijn vriendin meegenomen heeft, praten ze over meisjes. Rogier zegt dat hij niet op meisjes valt en een flikker is. Dat maakt Filip opeens razend, hij begint te schelden en te tieren en rent ervandoor. Rogier blijft contact zoeken met Filip: iedere dag legt hij een ander briefje neer bij de trimbaan. Maar Filip reageert niet, hij denkt na.
