In het huis van bewaring wordt koortsachtig overlegd wat er met de gevangenen moet gebeuren. Himmlers bevelen uit Berlijn zijn duidelijk: laat geen enkele getuige in leven. Op 4 april levert de Grüne Polizei een vuurpeloton - een represaillemaatregel voor de sabotage aan de spoorlijn - en op 10 april klaart het SD-Einsatzcommando zelf de klus. Op de Gelderse Dijk in Hattem en bij het Katerveer in Oldebroek worden de gevangenen geliquideerd. Maar één terechtgestelde laat zich bij het bevel 'vuur' in de IJssel vallen en wordt voor dood achtergelaten...
