Fram till 1912 var han verksam som gruvingenjör i Tyskland för att därefter ägna sig åt sitt författarskap på heltid. På drygt tio år publicerade han över tjugo romaner, varav de flesta utkom mellan 1912-1914. Han skrev både SF-romaner och deckare.
