Valter Paro è nato il 3 febbraio del 1972 a Motta di Livenza (TV) e risiede da sempre a Meduna di Livenza (TV).<br>Ha pubblicato la sua prima raccolta di poesie “Oltre le Rive” nel 2011 con La Piave Editore e, nel 2012, la silloge “Il Vento tra i Girasoli” dedicata al padre. I suoi successivi inediti hanno conseguito importanti riconoscimenti nei concorsi letterari nazionali e internazionali di Umbria, Liguria e Lazio. Vincitore del Super Premio per il concorso “Dedicato a… Poesie per Ricordare” XVII edizione, la stessa casa editrice Aletti Editore gli ha riconosciuto il premio di pubblicazione monografica che ha dato vita a quest'opera. Il Maestro Alessandro Quasimodo ha già con lui collaborato per il progetto “Alessandro Quasimodo legge i poeti contemporanei”.
