"Kalkbrottet" är en humoristisk deckare som utspelar sig på södra Öland i den lilla idylliska orten Grönhögen. Staffan Bergfeldt är pensionär från sitt tidigare yrkesliv som advokat i Eskilstuna. Några av hans större mål som han har figurerat i är Hotellbranden i Eskilstuna och det så kallade Flinkmordet.
