Mäntän viimeisen patruunan, vuorineuvos Gustaf ”Kustu” Serlachiuksen (1935-2009) elämäkerta liikkuu tehtaanpiippumiljöössä ja liike-eliitin kabineteissa. Kustu hävisi teollisuudessa, mutta voitti osakekaupoissa. Mesenaattien kulttuuriperintö säilyi ja karttui. Teemu Keskisarjan teos päättää Serlachiusten neliosaisen sukuhistorian. Keskisarjan kirjoittama ensimmäinen osa, Vihreän kullan kirous, palkittiin muun muassa vuoden historiateoksena.
