Taustamateriaalinaan hän käyttää muun muassa lehtiuutisia. Teos julkaistiin alun perin vuonna 1956. Paavo Rintala (1930–1999) oli suomalainen kirjailija. Hän kirjoitti näytelmiä, kuunnelmia ja kaunokirjallisia romaaneja. Uransa aikana hän sai kirjallisuuden valtionpalkinnon useina vuosina. Hänet palkittiin myös Runeberg-palkinnolla vuonna 1994.
