LasSiete Partidas son un cuerpo normativo castellano, durante el reinado de Alfonso X(1252-1284), con el objetivo de conseguir una cierta uniformidad jurídica del Reino. Su nombre original era Libro de las Leyes, y hacia el siglo XIV recibió su actual denominación, por las secciones en que se encuentra dividida. Las Siete Partidas constan como su nombre lo indica de siete partidas propiamente dichas, cada una contiene sus leyes respectivas. La presente edición es una selección de pasajes del libro original, realizada por Antonio Solalinde, en castellano moderno. En Linkgua ediciones también hemos publicado el texto íntegro en su versión original.
