‘Fabulous, cosy, mystery… Wonderful… Absolutely perfect for fans of Richard Osman!’ NetGalley Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Introducing the three unlikeliest sleuths you'll ever meet…
Every Thursday, three retired school teachers have their ‘coffee o’clock’ sessions at the Thirsk Garden Centre café.
But one fateful week, as they are catching up with a slice of cake, they bump into their ex-colleague, Topsy.
By the next Thursday, Topsy’s dead.
The last thing Liz, Thelma and Pat imagined was that they would become involved in a murder.
But they know there’s more to Topsy’s death than meets the eye – and it’s down to them to prove it…
Sit down with a cup of tea and this perfectly witty, page-turning cosy crime novel. Fans of Agatha Christie, Death in Paradise and Midsomer Murders will be hooked from the very first page.

- I loved this book - I found the plot moving and characters very pleasant, which is a rarity these days. I found myself thinking that I would listen to a book about these characters even without any murder being involved. It’s so much genuine kindness and warmth - I needed it.

- I enjoyed this book so much! There are good descriptions of the plot on other websites and in the synopsis, so I won’t repeat here. Personally, I enjoyed the different strands and the subplots. I love these three women and it is a huge credit to the author, Jonathan Hall, that he writes so sympathetically and believably. Honestly, I really thought that J M Hall I must be a woman! Jonathan Hall is a deputy primary teacher and this comes across very clearly in his writing. I have to say, that I did guess who the murderer is fairly early on but as the plot developed I thought that I couldn’t be right. I very much hope that we will have the next book available on here. I know that the author is concerned about the credibility of this group of women coming across several murders and I wonder if he has considered that not all crimes have to be about a murder? Only as the book develops does it become clear that crimes have been committed only one is a murder.

- I had to get used to the accent at first, but then I really enjoyed this audio book! It’s a cozy mystery/whodunit similar to Markow murder club and the Thursday murder club series!!

- Mysdeckare med kluriga äldre kvinnor som inte ger upp när det finns frågetecken kring deras väninnas död. Helt ok men inte riktigt i paritet med Torsdagsmordklubben även om det är samma tema.
