How does the free trial work?

All new customers can enjoy a free trial with BookBeat. Starting a free trial is easy! All you need to do is create an account at our website. Thereafter you can download the app onto your mobile or tablet, log in and start listening. After your free trial, your account will automatically become a paid subscription with a monthly fee. If you cancel your account during the free trial, you will not be charged. You have until the last day of your free trial to cancel your subscription before your account automatically transfers over to a paying account and you are charged for the coming month.

How do hours work at BookBeat?

The hours that are deducted when listening to and reading a certain book in its entirety appear in the book's information text. For audiobooks, the hours spent listening to the entire book read aloud at a normal speed is shown. For e-books, the number of hours listed is based on how long it takes to read the book at a normal reading speed. This is calculated based on what a certain number of characters and images equate to in time if an audiobook is read aloud. In the app, under Profile/My hours, you can see how many hours you have left. More details about the time calculation can be found here
