The dialogue is written so well and the readers do such a good job acting out the characters that you can tell whose talking without any description needed. That was my favourite part of the book for sure. A bit of a slow start but it is a gripping book for sure. If you liked Yellow Face this is it’s better sibling.

This book makes you realise how much one post can affect people’s lives. How much hate can cause the death of others - It took me a while to get into this because I didn’t read up on what it was about, but once I got into it. I couldn’t put it down Being able to see the points of view from Michael and Ola was the exact thing that made this book even better than I thought at first, and also mentioning how far away the wedding was at the start of each chapter showed so much tension, i was grasping my seat. Reading this told me how toxic society really is and how much just how much I hate people in general honestly😅 it’s awful how much a post online can do so so much damage. And there’s no way of giving an explanation or anything like that because no matter whether you where to admit it’s true or false, you will still be hated, because it’s their word before yours Highly recommended. Brief mention of sexual assault and suicide mention so please keep that in mind before reading

Yomi Adegoke really did that!! This was such a well written story and the narration brought the characters and dilemmas to life. Really in tune with the issues that I see today as a black British woman chronically online. As well as, in the anti sexual violence sphere in which I work.

Well written and engaging, interesting topic...but disappointing from a feminist viewpoint. As a Londoner, some questions about the use of language: do we call an individual person "fam", now? Would a feminist in a romantic reminiscence say, "the first time I let you smash"? I'm not surprising the TV networks want to pick this up...for both good and depressing reasons (not to give any spoilers).
