As in a glass!

Apostle John, gave us an inside scoop to one of the last prayers the Son of God said, in the twilight of His sojourn on Earth.

It is written:

“I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”

(John 17:4-5)

The concept of the ‘Trinity’, declares that there are three Personalities who preside over the realms of the entire Universe.

Though three, are also One.

They’re ‘one’ in nature, purpose and pre-eminence.

Hence, it shouldn’t surprise us, that the Christ – in our text from John’s gospel; asked His Father to glorify Him, with the glory He had with Him since the beginning.

What is startling, and utterly shocking however, is the HolySpirit’s revelation through Paul;

-that we also, can adorn ourselves with this ‘glory’; which was previously assumed to be the exclusive rights of the Godhead.

Is this a hoax?

This couldn’t be true; could it?

But it is!

It jolly well, is.

For it is written:

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the ‘same image’ from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

(2 Corinthians 3:18)

Its official!

Everyone who receives the Son of God, gets transformed into His image – through a gradual process of glory ‘upgrades’.

As we behold our Lord’s glory and reflection – as though through a mirror, the Spirit of God changes our glory steadily; till it conforms to the glory of Christ.

The same glory, which the Father also has.

No wonder it is written:

“That as many as receive Him (Jesus), to them He (the Father) gave the Power to become the sons of God; even to them that believe on His (Jesus’) name.

(John 1:12)

Crystallized;

The glory of God, is the right of every believer.

If you’re not steadily climbing to the perfect state of that glory; then something – somewhere, is wrong!

Let’s review what this glory is; and how we can be transformed from one degree of glory, to another – till we reach the ‘stellar’ state, that Christ is.

Hear His Spirit say,

With unveiled faces, behold…’As in a GLASS!’
