There should be lists of triggers that this book contains. Because, if it was available in the description, I would NEVER read it. The amount of abuse that is happening is insane. Every single bad thing that can happen to a woman is present in this book (physical and psychological abuse, rape, abortion, unwanted pregnancy, suicidal attempt and much more; and everything is very graphic). I am done with the books that are marketed as uplifting, empowering and hopeful. This book is everything but not that. I don't see any strenght in putting women through the worst things that could happen to them and not giving them any support, sisterhood to hold on to, apart from their death ancestors. I am done with pregnancy and having children as the only strenght that women can endure. I am done with the misogyny and abuse as a center of something that is supposed to be empowering. Definately not recommend.

Beautifully narrated. A different voice for each character helps to build a better picture of each woman. A captivating story keeps you wanting to finish it in one sitting.

I loved how the three storylines were all united at the end, even if I had an idea of where the story was going. I couldn’t stop listening, I was hooked and the narration was beautiful as well

I absolutely loved this book. Listening to it was an utter delight and I'm so sad to have finished it just now. The way this story reveals layer after layer is so captivating and although I wouldn't categorize it as light reading material, this story filled my heart to the brim.
