I listened to this book because it's such a well-known title. I'm glad I did. The coming of age story only covers a couple of years instead of 10+ like I expected but it fits the story.For the book club
I loved the southern accent of the storyteller. Her pace was good and she changed her voice a little bit depending on the character that was talking, which made the story come alive better.
