Uh well… overall this is a good listen, the plot is good, sporting the familiar characters. However, this book just didn’t age well. It’s 2022 and this book is casually sporting all the mysoginistic, homophobic, all-religious, traditional, conservative-American clichés there are. Non-consensual sex is romanticised and the female characters are flat as ever. All in all a good plot, but quite a few parts of it just do not sit well.

Don’t think about it too much and it’ll be fun…
This is a great, tense story that is really being let down by it’s main plot. In short, it’s really good until you get to the reveal.
