The Templars
Description of book
The Knights Templar were the wealthiest, most powerful – and most secretive – of the military orders that flourished in the crusading era.
Their story – encompassing as it does the greatest international conflict of the Middle Ages, a network of international finance, a swift rise in wealth and influence followed by a bloody and humiliating fall – has left a comet's tail of mystery that continues to fascinate and inspire historians, novelists and conspiracy theorists.

A worthwhile stripping away of the nonsense that floats around the Templars while charting their achievements. An antidote to all the fanciful waffle and a different relevant story of dismantling a body which wasn’t directly controlled by the officially sanctioned rulers. And a witch hunt. All good stuff well narrated

Great historical book written like a novel. Although I was familiar with the Templar history I listened to it with great pleasure.
