Roland har hamnat på en strand där livsfarliga krabbor hotar att äta upp en om.man är för nära vattenbrynet när solen går ner. Han är nedbruten och kroppsligt försvagad. Men han måste vidare, han kryper sig fram och stöter på en dörr mitt på stranden. Han kikar genom den och ser en syn han aldrig sett. Kan detta vara räddningen? Det är en mörk berättelse som inte romantiserar eller förskönar. Så trovärdigt därför även om konceptet att träda in i en annan värld genom en portal/dörr inte tillhör verkligheten. Annan uppläsare men vande mig efter en stund. Mer händelserik än första boken. Rekommenderas
