Wow! This is one of the best books I've ever read. This is my 3rd Lucy Foley novel and I am hungry for more. Everything about this was perfect - the characters (those you loathe and those you love), the plot ( original, simple yet complex in hindsight) and the ending,..well that was just priceless and so satisfying! Such a web of intrigue was spun, it was glorious. Just when you thought you'd figured it out and everything was coming together... you are suckerpunched... with as much force as THAT cake hitting THAT face! Absolutely superb. There aren't enough superlatives available to say how good this book truly was!

Bit of a slow start, very nearly lost me but well worth staying with it. I loved/hated the characters. Loved the twist and turns and revelations. Great read.

Väldigt förutsäg bar men jag gillar ändå premisserna av att de är utsatta på en öde ö. Och jag gillar han som hållt med och gillat löget men sen fattar hur vidriga hans vänner är. Helt okej men med vissa spännande passager
