Reportageboken "Honduras" utgavs 1979 om stiftelsen Hjälp åt Barn i Nöd som startade sin verksamhet i Honduras 1975. Hjälparbetet utövades främst i byar i närheten av San Pedro Sula och La Lima. Verksamheten leddes av Majken Broby, en sjuksköterska från Göteborg som även var med och upprättade stiftelsen inledningsvis 1957. Tidigare hade stiftelsen varit aktiv som stödorganisation åt barnhem i Tyskland, och hade hjälpprogram i Saharaöknen. Jan Moens "Honduras" är mer än bara ett reportage om stiftelsens arbete, det är också en tillbakablick av landets spännande historia som sträcker sig tillbaka så långt som till Mayafolkets mytiska kultur.<br><br>Jan Moen (1933-1995) var en svensk författare. Han skrev kriminalromaner, drama, musikaler, läroböcker, barn- och ungdomsböcker och historiska böcker.
