All new customers can enjoy a free trial with BookBeat. Starting a free trial is easy! All you need to do is create an account at our website. Thereafter you can download the app onto your mobile or tablet, log in and start listening. After your free trial, your account will automatically become a paid subscription with a monthly fee. If you cancel your account during the free trial, you will not be charged. You have until the last day of your free trial to cancel your subscription before your account automatically transfers over to a paying account and you are charged for the coming month.

After your free trial period, your subscription will automatically become the paid subscription you chose when creating the account. You can choose between three packages and find the one that suits you the best. Our Basic account at £6,99/month allows you to listen up to 20 hours a month. With the standard account at £10,99/month you can listen up to 40 hours per month, and with the premium account, you get 100 hours of listening and reading for £17,99/month. You can switch between our packages at any time. You can add extra users at £4,99/month despite which package you choose.

Our family accounts allow up to five people that are living together to share the same BookBeat account. You only pay £4,99 per month for every added profile. To get started with the family account you simply log in to your account, and then you can easily add or remove profiles. As soon as the profile is added to the account, you’ll be able to listen at the same time and the whole family can save their books and view their historic data. Each profile can listen to the same number of hours that are included in the package.

BookBeat is a personal service, and it is only possible to listen one at a time. However, you can add up to four extra profiles to the same account in case several in the family want to listen at the same time. Profiles cost £4,99/month per user.

Yes, of course! It’s super easy to listen to an audiobook offline. All you need to do is choose a book you’d like to read and download it using the BookBeat app. The only restriction you have to how many books you can download is the amount of memory you have on your device.

Each profile can listen to the same number of hours that are included in the package. If you for example have the BookBeat Standard package, each profile can listen and/or read 40 hours per month.

The hours that are deducted when listening to and reading a certain book in its entirety appear in the book's information text. For audiobooks, the hours spent listening to the entire book read aloud at a normal speed is shown. For e-books, the number of hours listed is based on how long it takes to read the book at a normal reading speed. This is calculated based on what a certain number of characters and images equate to in time if an audiobook is read aloud. In the app, under Profile/My hours, you can see how many hours you have left. More details about the time calculation can be found here.
