Description of the book
’Cleverly crafted, twisty, gripping and suspenseful’ B. A. ParisOnly the killer holds the key. . .
A Sunday Times Book of the Summer
IT WAS THE CRIME THAT SHOCKED A NATION.
The Flowers were the perfect family. Until the day fifteen-year-old Joseph shot dead his parents and baby brother whilst his younger sister Eve hid. The family home became known as ‘The Red House’, the place where the walls were covered in blood.
THEY THOUGHT THEY HAD THE KILLER.
No one knows why Joseph murdered his family: the following day he crashed his car and has been in a coma for two decades. Eve’s always known he did it; she saw the crime, after all.
WHAT IF THEY WERE WRONG?
Now an adult, Eve is forced to re-examine her memories when disturbing new evidence about the case comes to light. Rumour has it that Joseph created a hidden level in his game that night, which might hold the key.
But if Joseph didn’t do it, then the killer’s still out there – and they’re coming back for the girl who escaped. . .

So glad I ignored some of the weaker reviews for this book because it was a GREAT listen- I felt oh so clever about myself at first thinking Id cracked it but nope! But the twists didnt feel cheap and purposely unguessable just to be a twist, they were those lovely kind of twists that make you go “ohhhh i get it now!” As little seemingly unimportant comments became the main hints. Well, I guess you get that in any good mystery- but I thoroughly enjoyed them here! That last revelation, at about 9 hours 36 minutes…my eyes went cartoonishly large. This book truly uses its changing POVs to the best ability. EDIT: THERE WERE MORE REVELATIONS?? 9 hours 40…mad

A clever book with a superb plot with both compassion and harsh reality within its twisted content. If there were 10 STARS it would deserve them. The narration was terrific and drew me into the heart of the tangled web One of the best books I've read.

Had to stop listening cause the narrator has walked off a 1920s news show. Book’s probably good based on reviews but unless you want a monotonous documentary experience, avoid!!!
